Get ready to Glow

For our three-month program, see your “glow girls” once a week for two hours until you’re ready to perform in our show. We design our classes to help you achieve your goals, build confidence and have fun. Read the level descriptions to see what is right for you. Then, read the teacher bios to find a style that suits your mood this term!

Level 1 – “The Total Beginner”

(1 term to 1 year)

Prerequisites

  • Willingness to try

  • Positive attitude

  • Facebook account and valid email address

What You’ll Achieve

  • Develop body awareness and confidence

  • Become familiar with dance movement

  • Develop an understanding of dance terminology

  • Learn injury prevention and safe technique training

Level 2 – “Beginner”

(2 terms to 2 years)

Prerequisites

  • Positive attitude and open to feedback

  • Prepared for stage rehearsals/performances

  • Facebook account and valid email address

What You’ll Achieve

  • Further develop confidence and body awareness

  • Understand dance movement and terminology

  • Understand performance protocols

  • Practice injury prevention and proper technique

Level 3 – “Intermediate”

(3 terms to 3+ years)

Prerequisites

  • Confident attitude

  • Connects Luminesque Dance movements

  • Brings performance quality to class

  • Learns 1-2 minutes of choreography in 2-3 classes

  • Prepared for rehearsals and performances (full costume, makeup, on time, etc)

  • Provides support to other students in class and during shows

  • Happily receives and incorporates feedback by the following rehearsal

What You’ll Achieve

  • Excellent body awareness and confidence

  • Competent in dance movement and performance

  • Knowledgeable of dance terminology

  • Understand and practice injury prevention

  • Clean, consistent and committed by show day

Level 4 – “Advanced”

(4 terms to 4 years)

Prerequisites (term/teacher dependent)

  • Confident, kind and professional attitude

  • Performs Luminesque movements

  • Executes proper breathing and emotion

  • Learns 1-2 minutes of choreography in 1-2 classes

  • Willing to choreograph sections, if needed

  • Brings performance quality to classroom

  • Serves as a leader to other students at stage rehearsals and shows

  • Happily receives and applies feedback immediately

  • Master body awareness and confidence

  • Solid dance movement and terminology

  • Excellent performance protocols

  • Understands and can articulate injury prevention

  • Clean, consistent and committed by rehearsal day

  • Conducts oneself with performer professionalism in class, rehearsal and shows

Level 5 – “Professional”

(Invite Only)

Prerequisites (term/teacher dependent)

  • Confident and professional attitude

  • Mastery of all technique

  • Performs Luminesque movements with proper breath and emotion

  • Learns 1-2 minutes of choreography in one class

  • Comfortably choreographs routines if given the opportunity

  • Brings performance quality to class and performances

  • Serves as a leader to other students at rehearsals and shows

  • Happily receives and incorporates feedback immediately

  • Master body and mental confidence

  • Professional level dance movement

  • Moving and captivating performances

  • Can articulate dance terminology

  • Solid injury prevention and body awareness

  • Clean, consistent and committed in the classroom

  • Conducts oneself with Performer Professionalism at all times
