Our 5-month PROGRESS program guides beginner to advanced dancers through a comprehensive deep dive into the foundations, skills, technique, context and performance of heels dance.
The cast of hundreds of dancers then celebrates their achievements through a larger than life show at a premiere venue to a supportive audience of friends, family, and fans.
Courses are offered in 4 locations, and do not require dance experience or an audition. All adult (19+) dancers welcome!
what’s included
WEEKLY TRAINING
2 hours/week of class by certified teachers (1.5h for NewToLumi)
Learn dance conditioning, injury prevention, and heels skills development from certified instructors every week all term. Also learn inspiring pieces of choreography you can perform.
PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCES
Perform in two epic stage productions at premiere venues
Shine onstage alongside a cast of 400+ dancers of all levels in two professionally produced dance theatre productions.
ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT
Participate in a Director’s Rehearsal
Receive guidance from expert directors, teachers, and choreographers to help develop or improve your performance.
PRIVATE STUDENT PORTAL
Weekly breakdown videos, program updates + resources
Every week we add new resources, choreography breakdown videos, and informative updates to your private web portal.
DEDICATED 24/7 GROUP CHAT
Private WhatsApp communication with a Student Experience Lead
Gain 24/7 access to a private chat with your own classmates, where a certified Student Experience staff is there to help.
SUBSIDIZED COUNSELLING
Mental health support provided for only $25/session
We know dance can sometimes bring up emotions, so we subsidize the cost of sessions with our registered therapists.
COSTUME SUPPLIES
Costume embellishments + crafting education
Every term, receive costume supplies, costume workshops and tutorials to help you craft a look you love. Also receive a discount on professional dance bottoms by Fortoula.
HAIR RESOURCES + MAKEUP TUTORIALS
Professionally designed + filmed styling videos + guides
Our team of makeup stylists design custom looks specifically for each show, and provide video tutorials. As part of our commitment to inclusivity we don’t dictate hair looks, but offer plenty of resources to help all hair types!
TECH REHEARSAL
All-day introduction to the behind the scenes of a dance show
Work with a team of directors, lighting designers and set designers at a Tech Rehearsal to create a magical production.
IMMORTALIZE THE EXPERIENCE
Professional photos + videos captured of the show
We capture the show with the help of professional photographers and videographers. Photos are available for free, short videos are posted on our social media, and full videos are available through our LumiTV subscription.
SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY
Community Events + Facebook group with 1000+ members
Connect with your fellow dancers and the larger Luminesque community for support at our exclusive student-only events and through our private Facebook group.
NOTE ABOUT WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
In an effort to promote transparency and financial accessibility, we like to let students know ahead of time about other costs that may arise that are not included in the registration fees. Most of these things can be borrowed, bought second hand, or sourced.
Heels to dance in (we recommend suede bottomed heels under 4” tall
Outfits to dance in (we recommend whatever makes you feel fabulous!)
Your costume “base”, which includes a top and a bottom (we provide embellishments)
Base stage makeup (we recommend a foundation, mascara, and blush/bronzer)
Tickets to the show (encourage your friends to support you + local art!)
Free copies of the show videos (you can access these through LumiTV)

2024 pricing
We work hard to make our programs accessible and affordable, and are the lowest cost per hour progressive heels program in BC.
If funds are an issue, we offer a built-in Payment Plan, custom Payment Plans, and Scholarships for all programs. We give away scholarships every term to BIPOC dancers, Indigenous dancers, LGBTQIA+ dancers, and dancers in financial need.
