PROGRESS is our signature Heels training & performance program - designed for dancers who crave growth, performance, and empowerment. Whether you're brand new to Heels or returning to the stage for your next breakthrough, PROGRESS is your ultimate Heels dance immersion. We’ve helped over 2500 students shine over the past 8 years - and now it’s YOUR turn!
For five months, you'll build strength, technique, and performance quality in a supportive and high-energy community led by certified, expert instructors. Then, you'll celebrate your achievements in two unforgettable shows at premiere venues - complete with pro lighting, sound, character development, and costumes made on your terms.
PROGRESS includes 15 weekly classes, plus bonus chances to grow + glow - like performance-enhancing Director’s rehearsals, a full tech/dress rehearsal in-venue, a private filmed run of the show, and two live performances. We offer five levels from total beginner to advanced, each with a carefully crafted curriculum tailored for growth. No matter your starting point - you’ll be challenged, supported, and celebrated every step of the way.
Everyone is encouraged to come celebrate themselves in our studios and on our stages - all adult (19+) ages, gender expressions, backgrounds, bodies and abilities are welcome! Our mission is to celebrate expressions of self and sexuality through Heels dance, so if that sounds like you’re jam - we can’t wait to dance with you this term!
what’s included in progress
WEEKLY TRAINING
1.5 hours/week of class by certified teachers (2h for Returning)
Learn dance conditioning, injury prevention, and heels skills development from certified instructors every week all term. Also learn inspiring pieces of choreography you can perform.
PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCES
Perform in two epic stage productions at premiere venues
Shine onstage alongside a huge cast of dancers from all levels in two professionally produced dance theatre productions.
ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT
Participate in a Director’s Rehearsal
Receive guidance from expert directors, teachers, and choreographers to help develop or improve your performance.

Our team of makeup stylists design custom looks specifically for each show, and provide video tutorials. As part of our commitment to inclusivity we don’t dictate hair looks, but offer plenty of resources to help all hair types!
TECH REHEARSAL
All-day introduction to the behind the scenes of a dance show
Work with a team of directors, lighting designers and set designers at a Tech Rehearsal to create a magical production.
IMMORTALIZE THE EXPERIENCE
Professional photos + videos captured of the show
We capture the show with the help of professional photographers and videographers. Photos are available for free, short videos are posted on our social media, and full videos are available through our LumiTV subscription.
SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY
Community Events + Facebook group with 1000+ members
Connect with your fellow dancers and the larger Luminesque community for support at our exclusive student-only events and through our private Facebook group.
NOTE ABOUT WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
In an effort to promote transparency and financial accessibility, we like to let dancers know ahead of time about other costs that may arise that are not included in the registration fees. Most of these things can be borrowed, bought second hand, or sourced.
Heels to dance in (we recommend our official Glow Getter dance boot, created in collaboration with Bouge Moi)
Outfits to dance in (wear whatever makes you feel free to move!)
Your costume “base”, which includes a top and a bottom in a particular colour scheme (we provide embellishments)
Base stage makeup (we recommend a foundation, mascara, and blush/bronzer)
Tickets to the show (encourage your friends to support you + local art!)
Free copies of the show videos (you can access these through LumiTV, which is $40/yr)

If this is your first time in the Luminesque PROGRESS program, you join a NEW TO LUMI course. These courses are specifically designed to introduce students (with or without dance experience) to the Luminesque curriculum and show process.
NEW TO LUMI courses are offered at 2 levels: BEGINNER, and INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED. Learn more about LEVELS.
Once you’ve completed the program once, you move into RETURNING courses (head over to RETURNING PROGRAMS if you’re returning).

2025/2026 mainland show themes
This Fall, we decided to give the Mainland and Vancouver Island their own bespoke show themes that will play to their strengths and areas for growth. JUMP TO V. ISLAND SHOWS.
heel heist (fall 25/26)
THEMES: Mystery, drama, character, art, reconciliation, interactive storytelling
This Fall, play detective with us in HEEL HEIST - our provocative whodunit about a missing diamond shoe. Amidst the grand opening of the “Heirloom Heels” exhibit at the Musee d’Lumay, guests are flabbergasted when the pièce de résistance - the Diamond Stiletto - suddenly vanishes. Did the stunning Mistress Scarlett sneak it into the shadows? How about the heel-obsessed Dr. Plum? Follow our Curator as they investigate each suspect, and uncover the clues to reveal the culprit.
When we originally wrote Heel Heist in 2021, we imagined it as an immersive, interactive stage show that left the audience aghast when the twist drops like a mic. We dreamed it would be the ultimate “murder mystery party” - where everyone, including the audience, felt like part of a grand theatrical production. But we had to pivot and adapt it for film. While we’re proud of what we were able to accomplish in such difficult circumstances, we’re overjoyed by the chance to bring our original vision to life - with even more enhancements, refinements, and new surprises!
Our favourite thing about Heel Heist is all the dynamic characters (loosely inspired by the game/movie, Clue) that our dancers get to bring to life. From poised performers to cheeky, sneaky party guests; from the magnetic Mistress Scarlett to the passionate Professor, and more - there are so many roles to explore in this mystery. Choreography will offer opportunities to hone character development, dramatic performance, and fully embodied commitment to the narrative. Our soundtrack is a dynamic mix of iconic bops and artsy deep cuts. The message inherent in the twist is an encouragement to become curious about the origins of the art you admire, and a call to give proper attribution to artists past and present.
masterpiece (spring 26)
THEMES: Gaming, confidence, strength, empowerment, teamwork, futurism, play
Eight legendary players enter the arena. Self-assured and skilled to the hilt - they know they have the fire, the fight, the finesse to be the best and beat the rest. But what if the game’s playing them? What if the real power move isn’t going solo... it’s syncing up? What if the only way to create the best masterpiece in the LumiVerse is to combine your strengths and embrace your differences? You’ll have to grab your headset and join the party to find out. ;)
Spring term is all about bold moves, bright lights, fierce feels, and lasers for days. Our high-octane, Final Fantasy-meets-Scott Pilgrim epic adventure is your chance to embrace your own main character energy. It’s an opportunity to explore what makes you uniquely, awesome YOU. We’re celebrating how owning your power - and hyping up everyone else’s - makes you absolutely unstoppable. Because when you walk in knowing your worth, and inspire others to do the same? That’s the real win.
This term our training and choreography will focus on precision in execution, levelling up your technique, and shocking the audience with electrifying sex appeal and strength. Using futuristic surrealism to bend all the rules, we’ll create a visually stunning world and delightfully daring characters that would be right at home in any sexy space virtual reality MMORPG game. The soundtrack will feature dirty bass lines, playful synth, power pop hits, and EDM that will keep you and the audience bopping all night. Come show off by showing up for MASTERPIECE!

absinthe (fall 25/26)
THEMES: Love, decadence, mystery, secrets, classic cabaret
This term, step behind the green velvet curtain and enter Absinthe - a secret speakeasy where the rules of reality dissipate like smoke. Inside, we meet our enigmatic Green Fairy, who spins a tale of love and longing that seduces the senses and blurs the line between truth and illusion.
Inspired by Gatsby-era glamour with a modern twist, Absinthe perfectly pairs with the provocative pulse of Victoria, while adding a burst of novelty to your repertoire. We’ll go deep on musicality, stylized storytelling, and the art of commanding attention. The soundtrack and choreographic direction are a blend of electro-swing remixes, high-gloss cabaret numbers, and gripping stories of seduction and power.
This show celebrates your desire, your decadence, and your decision to step into the spotlight while leaving audiences breathless and immersed in a world of performance and pleasure. Paint the town green with us in ABSINTHE.

about progress program levels
From total beginner to professional dancers - there’s a place for you in the spotlight, no matter your experience.
Our level system ensures everyone receives the training, support, and show choreography that will help them shine in their best light in studio and onstage in their performances.
dancers new to luminesque
If a student is new to the Luminesque program, they have the option of enrolling in a BEGINNER level course or an INT/ADV (Intermediate/Advanced) level course. These courses are specifically designed to introduce students (with or without dance experience) to the Luminesque curriculum and show process.
BEGINNER is for people who have limited to no dance experience, and is designed to give students a strong foundation of technique, injury prevention, and confidence with performing.
INT/ADV is for people who have dance experience, and is designed to introduce the Luminesque curriculum, performance prep process, and fill in any gaps in necessary injury prevention and heels dance technique.
AUDITIONS/PLACEMENT NOT REQUIRED
Students self-assess their level, and there is no audition or placement required. Suggestions may be made to switch levels within the first few weeks of the program, should a student appear to be in the wrong level (at risk for injury; or considerably ahead).
NEWTOLUMI classes are:
90-minutes once per week for the 5-month term (incl. tech + choreography)
Taught by one main instructor plus one special guest workshop per term
Provided additional resources/support about our curriculum/show process
Given the opportunity to perform 1-2 pieces in all show dates in their given cast

Despite rising costs, we’ve worked hard to keep pricing the same for our Fall 2025/2026 season, and all season long for our LUMILIFERS.
Whether you’re learning how to dance, or leveling up your existing skills - our Progress program is a long-term investment in your dance journey. We are the largest Heels dance progressive program in the world, because we provide the best dance education. Even still, we are one of the lowest cost per hour progressive adult dance programs in BC, and work hard to keep dance accessible.
HOW WE KEEP DANCE ACCESSIBLE:
Offering weekly or monthly Payment Plans as our default payment method
Offering self-assessed Sliding Scale pricing (limited quantities for support tiers)
Providing discounts for long-term students (“LumiLifer” pass)
By subsidizing the high cost of running Progress with show ticket revenue
Offering a robust Scholarships program for marginalized dancers
Providing humans-first Refund + Cancellation policies

MORE ABOUT PAYMENT PLANS
We offer a SLIDING SCALE to keep our high-value, long-term Progress Program financially accessible. There are unlimited spaces available at our Standard and Sponsor payment tiers, and limited spaces available at our Support tier (exact quantity directly relates to the number of Sponsor tiers purchased during the previous term, plus additional spots sponsored by Luminesque).
All of our courses are paid by PAYMENT PLAN by default. You can choose between a weekly payment plan, or a monthly payment plan - both plans are the same total registration cost, so just choose whichever works best for you. If you wish to pay for the full term all at once, you may unselect “Payment Plan” when registering, and pay up front.
Payment Plans begin as soon as you register for your course, and continue until the balance of your registration fees is fully paid. This often means payments start before your course begins, and they finish before your course ends. While Payment Plan timeframes often correspond to the approximate length of courses, they are NOT monthly/weekly “memberships”, and cannot be cancelled without penalty after the Withdrawal Deadline. Please read our humans-first Refund Policies before purchasing, take note of your withdrawal deadlines, and ensure you are ready to commit to the full term before registering for the program.
Please note Momence adds a 3% processing fee on all credit card transactions. Direct Debit transactions do not have fees added. All of our offerings are also subject to GST (5%).
