PROGRESS is Luminesque’s signature Heels training & performance program - designed for dancers who crave sustainable growth, empowering performances, and life-changing community. Whether you're brand new to Heels or returning to the stage for your next breakthrough, PROGRESS is the ultimate Heels Dance immersion.
Build strength, technique, and performance quality with the support of Luminesque™ certified instructors. Then, live your wildest dreams in the spotlight in multiple unforgettable shows.
No matter who you are - (19+) age, gender, sexuality, body, ability, background, or lived experience - as long as you wanna pump people up and (and at least try to) dance in Heels - you belong here at Luminesque. Our community is made up of 1000s of diverse dancers on a mission to celebrate self and sexual expression, so if that sounds like your jam… LET’S GLOW!

In Fall 2026/2027, we’re inviting dancers into a visceral, sensory term all about what it means to feel fully alive inside your own body. We’re diving inward and igniting embodied passion - bringing it to life in ways that are both deeply personally and universally felt. Unlike the traditional narrative structure of Progress shows, HEAT unfolds through a series of poetic chapters that immerse dancers in the many powerful forms of erotic energy. From the first spark of awareness to the quiet glow that follows transformation - HEAT will leave you tingling all term. Brace yourself because it’s about to get HOT.
In Spring 2027 we're exploring + celebrating everything we love about Heels Dance! ALL NIGHTER crafts a story about the shoes, the dance, the sexuality, and the empowerment that we believe make Heels what it is today. As dancers, we'll get curious about the past, present, and future of the style and deepen our understanding of its many influences. Moving through eras of music, fashion, icons, and culture - this show indulges all the fan favourites for anyone who loves Heels and everything it stands for. So get in, lace up, and let’s ignite the next revolution of Heels Dance.

find your cohort
If you’re a first-time Heels dancer, you start at the start - in our Kitten Heels cohort. You don’t need to audition or do placement, you can just sign up and show up as you are!
If you’ve danced before and want to join a level other than Kitten Heels, you’ll complete a placement so we can point you in the right direction. This can be done in-person at a free Placement class, or you can complete a quick video placement and send it in.
Regardless of your level, everyone receives a dedicated curriculum that challenges and supports them every step of the way.

Once you’re in, your PROGRESS journey begins with 16 two-hour weekly classes. Every week, you train, sweat, learn, dance, and connect with the same intimate cohort - developing the confidence to safely try new things and grow beyond what you thought was even possible.
Our jam-packed Heels curriculum has been refined over decades of collaboration with pro Heels technicians, choreographers, physiotherapists, pilates instructors, embodiment experts, and 10,000+ dancers from all ages, bodies, and lived experiences.

No matter your level, everyone gets their moment to shine on stage. You learn show choreography (2-3 dances) slowly over time, giving it months to marinate into a masterpiece of embodied storytelling that looks awesome but feels even better.
You’re provided with weekly breakdown and class run videos, so you can easily practice at home or catch up if you miss a class.

A few weeks before showtime, you unite with 100+ castmates at Tech Rehearsal to watch your epic show come to life - complete with pro lighting, sound design, storytelling, and costumes made on your terms.
Then, we unleash your inner artist in our extended performance enhancement workshop, led by certified Luminesque™ Directors.

Finally, you’ll shine on stage in multiple pieces for multiple nights - beaming as hundreds of fans roar in applause and appreciation for all you’ve achieved. Work with a team of directors, lighting designers and set designers at a Tech Rehearsal to create a magical production. Get a preview of the full show before anyone else - for free!

We capture the show with the help of industry-leading professional photographers and videographers. Photos are available to share for free (with attribution), short videos are posted on our social media, and full show videos are available through our LumiTV subscription for only $40/year.

NOTE ABOUT WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
In an effort to promote financial accessibility, we like to let dancers know in advance about other costs that may arise that aren’t included in registration. Most of these things can be borrowed, bought second hand, or sourced.
Heels to dance in (we recommend our official Glow Getter dance boot, created in collaboration with Bouge Moi)
Outfits to dance in (wear whatever makes you feel free to move!)
Your costume “base”, which includes a top and a bottom in a particular colour scheme (we provide embellishments)
Base stage makeup (we recommend a foundation, mascara, and blush/bronzer)
Tickets to the show (encourage your friends to support you + local art!)
Free copies of the show videos (you can access these through LumiTV, which is $40/yr)

(Although our levels have cheeky high-heel inspired names, they aren’t literally the shoes you wear.)

OUR UNCONVENTIONAL APPROACH TO LEVELS
Levels at Luminesque aren’t a ladder to climb — the level cohorts are communities within our community, designed to serve the needs and capacity of each group.
We called it PROGRESS because you progress within your level, not through the levels. Each cohort is continually growing together, we’re constantly expanding our curriculum, and our casts go deeper into embodied storytelling together every year.
Every level is provided meaningful learning opportunities, impressive choreography, constructive feedback, and ample encouragement. Our goal is that every dancer at every level is challenged, supported, and celebrated every term, long-term.
Commitment to your team, dedication to your dance journey, and a willingness to try new things are required at all levels of PROGRESS, regardless of dance ability. (If you’re looking for a lower-commitment performance program, we suggest ESSENCE.)
Beyond the automatic eligibility to move out of Kitten Heels into Lace-Ups after 2 terms — while it is possible, it’s rare for a dancer to change levels. This is because it takes a significant change in circumstances for a dancer to not only progress far beyond their own cohort, but also at a more rapid pace than the next cohort - who are also growing term over term.
We understand this can feel frustrating in a capitalistic society that can make us feel like we’re failing if we’re not constantly “levelling up” - but we promise that this is where real progression happens.
Our unconventional approach to levels is one of the many ways we’re working to dismantle discriminatory systems in dance (and more broadly, colonial) culture.
We’ve seen it work magic for the abilities and confidence of 5000+ dancers over the past decade - so we ask that you trust the process now, and we’re certain you’ll feel it yourself later.
HOW DO I PROGRESS?
We’ve developed a rubric of Dimensions of Difficulty that our team uses to ensure all dancers are provided opportunities to grow as Heels dancers every term, regardless of level cohort.
While the specific exercises may differ via level - all dancers still receive appropriate challenges that encourage growth in: pace of learning, stamina & strength, mental stamina, self/spatial awareness, emotional expression, character embodiment, movement precision, and choreography complexity.
Each term, a given teacher may focus on specific aspects of the wheel with a given course - but regardless of focus, you will touch on all aspects at some point during the 5-month program.
Every PROGRESS course gets the chance to work with multiple teachers, which also helps diversify the skills and styles you learn.
HOW LEVEL PLACEMENT WORKS
All dancers are automatically eligible to join the KITTEN HEELS cohort, and do not need to receive placement.
After two terms of dancing with KITTEN HEELS, dancers are eligible (but not required) to move into LACE-UPS. This is because after two terms of training, their understanding, vocabulary, and comfort will naturally advance. Therefore, LACE-UPS is designed for dancers with Luminesque experience (and thus not meant for new dancers).
If a dancer wishes to join PROGRESS at - or change cohorts into - Pumps or Stilettos, they need placement.
IN-PERSON + VIDEO PLACEMENT
Placement can be done in-person at a free Placement Class, or via a Video Placement assessment. Dancers will then receive a recommendation on which cohort would be the best fit. Dancers may not “self-assess” into any level except Kitten Heels, or into Lace-Ups after completing two terms of Kitten Heels.

If you’d like to join a performance program that does not require placement, we suggest ESSENCE.
PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT FACTORS:
How consistently do they demonstrate proper injury prevention in heels?
How much energy (focus, stamina, attention, etc.) is a dancer willing to dedicate?
How familiar are they with performing Heels dance onstage and in-studio?
How quickly are they able to learn and perform new concepts and/or group choreography?
How embodied is their understanding of movement pathways (versus mimicking shape)?
How accurately can they identify different aspects of music (counts, musicality, etc)?
How familiar are they with Heels dance technique and Luminesque vocabulary?
How well can they execute different tiers of difficulty within our movement curriculum?
How self-aware are they regarding their artistry, embodiment, and physical limitations?

kitten heels
Kitten Heels may be new to dance, or have some experience - but ultimately they’re here to develop foundational technique, feel confident in their performances, become comfortable with embodied storytelling & sexuality, and receive loving support from their teachers and fellow dancers.
While their dances are still dynamic, mature, meaningful, fun, and rooted in sensuality - they learn them at a nurturing pace, and are able to succeed without much out-of-class-time commitment beyond basic practicing.

lace-ups
Lace-Ups are dancers who are still solidifying their foundation, but are familiar with Heels technique and comfortable with embodied storytelling. They’re craving more intricate choreography, bolder sexual expression, and more challenging elements like partner work and basic floor work. While they may still be drilling foundational movements - they learn dances at a quicker pace, desire more personalized critique, and are well-versed in Luminesque language and experiences. Dancers are automatically eligible (not required) to move into Lace-Ups after two terms of Kitten Heels.

pumps
Pumps are experienced dancers who desire to deepen their existing heels dance technique, strength and performance quality. They have a demonstrated foundation of heels dance injury prevention and skills, and are looking to take on more complex choreography and performance prompts. They desire direct constructive critique, and are committed not only to their own journey, but to their teammates' success as well. They’re comfortable with embodied storytelling and sexual expression, and are committed to practicing and cross-training outside of class time.

stilettos
Stilettos are advanced/professional dancers with years of experience, who desire to build upon and finesse their existing breadth of technique, artistry, and performance. They are extremely comfortable with heels technique, and consistently demonstrate injury prevention, even when mindfully “breaking the rules” of classic alignment. They’re self-aware about their own strengths and limitations, and are self-responsible in their learning. Stilettos is designed to be an oasis from traditional dance culture - where you can be pushed to work at your highest capacity, without the toxic competition.
2026/2027 progress program pricing
Despite rising costs, we’ve DROPPED PROGRESS PRICES for the 2026/2027 season - to our lowest rate since 2023.
Whether you’re learning how to dance, or levelling up your existing skills - our Progress program is a long-term investment in your dance journey. We are the largest Heels dance progressive program in the world, because we provide the best dance education for all dancers. Even still, we are one of the lowest cost per hour progressive adult dance programs in BC, and work hard to keep our programs financially accessible (learn how below).

PAYMENT PLAN: $222 for 4 months
LUMILIFERS
$1776 for 2 Progress terms + bonuses
PAYMENT PLAN: $148 for 12 months
HOW PAYMENT PLANS WORK
You may opt into paying the price of your program over a 4-month payment plan, if you wish. This comes at no additional cost, which is part of our commitment to financial accessibility.
Payment Plans begin as soon as you register for your course, and continue until the balance of your registration fees is fully paid. This often means payments start before your course begins, and they always finish before your course ends.
While Payment Plan timeframes often correspond to the approximate length of courses, they are NOT monthly “memberships”, and cannot be cancelled without penalty after the Withdrawal Deadline. Please read our humans-first Refund Policies before buying, take note of cutoffs, and ensure you are ready to commit to the full term before registering for the program.
Please note Momence adds a 3% processing fee on all credit card transactions. Direct Debit transactions do not have fees added, and we do offer the option to e-transfer if paying in full for a program. All of our offerings are subject to GST (5%).
